She is member of the Athens Law Bar and Chair of the Board of Directors of CSR Hellas, a non- profit-making business association representing more than150 companies since 2012 (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.csrhellas.org\">www.csrhellas.org<\/a>). She is also member of the Board of Directors of CSR Europe since 2018, and Vice-Chair responsible for EU Affairs and Market (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.csrweurope.org\">www.csrweurope.org<\/a>). In 2020, joined voluntarily EFRAG Sustainability Lab and the Project Task Force that studied best reporting practices towards sustainable business models and linkages with risks and opportunities (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.efrag.org\">www.efrag.org<\/a>). Currently member of EFRAG Secretariat team working on the development of European Sustainability Reporting Standards for Listed SMEs and Voluntary Standards in alignment with EU CSRD.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>She also sits at the Advisory Board of HIGGS (2017, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.higgs.org\">www.higgs.org<\/a>) supporting programs to empower civil society and social entrepreneurs in Greece and Organization Earth (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.organizationearth.org\">www.organizationearth.org<\/a>) facilitating and encouraging capacity building and collaboration, stakeholder and civil society dialogue and empowerment.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Maria Alexiou Chair of the Board of Directors CSRHELLAS &nbsp; Maria Alexiou studied Law in Athens, Greece and specialized in human rights and civil liberties in international and European law.
