John Synodinos
Head, Group Model and Data Validation, Deputy General Manager, Eurobank S.A.
John Synodinos was born in Athens in 1966. He holds BA in Physics from Harvard University (1989), a PhD in Experimental High Energy Physics from Stanford University (1995) and has since held senior positions in the consulting and financial industries. He has worked as a business consultant with Strategic Decisions Group in Menlo Park, California, with specialization in Decision Analysis, and is currently working at Eurobank Ergasias in Athens, Greece. He has served as Head of Market Risk (2012 – 2018) and Head of the Group’s Model Validation and Governance unit (2018 – present). In the past, he has also taught Risk Management in graduate programs at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB).
