Women in Business Forum - ICAP CRIF

Women in Business. Together to the next level

View our past events

Out of the auspices:

For the 12th consecutive year, the Women in Business Forum aims to creatively examine the issues and challenges surrounding the inclusion of women in middle and senior management. As an expanded, four-hour interactive experience, it highlights examples and experiences from executives as well as corporate case studies.

ICAP CRIF as a socially responsible employer,  aims through the Women in Business Forum to:

  • Inform and train female executives so they can advance in the professional hierarchy and/or take on business initiatives and action.
  • To inspire through Success Stories
  • To highlight Best Practices in women’s leadership in the corporate sector.
  • To foster productive networking.

The Forum, will highlight the following themes:

1) Women in Tech & AI. Driving Innovation: Women at the Forefront of Change.

Who is writing the algorithm of the future? Women who don’t follow, but instead design the game.

From bias to breakthroughs, we examine how they are taking the AI agenda by storm and overturning the status quo.

2) Inclusive Leadership. Building Diverse and Resilient Organizations.

Diversity isn’t a KPI—it’s a competitive advantage.

Leaders who dare to challenge stereotypes build organizations that endure, evolve, and succeed in an uncertain environment.

3) Entrepreneurship and Growth.

There is no growth without boldness.

Women who push the boundaries of entrepreneurship, seek funding, take risks, and turn uncertainty into opportunity and scale.

4) Redefining Success. Work-Life Integration, Health and Wellbeing.

Success without well-being is failure. The time has come to redefine what it means to “have succeeded”,

by focusing on energy, balance, and the sustainability of life.

The event is hosted by the Journalist, Maria Samolada.

      Women in Business Forum (2024)
REAL CHALLENGES Thursday, October 31st, NJV Athens Plaza Hotel

What are the real challenges faced today, in the context of Diversity and Inclusion, by Women Managers and Entrepreneurs—whether in hiring, promotion, or taking on entrepreneurial initiatives? Are these challenges equally perceived by both Male and Female Managers? How do they affect corporate performance? How do the new generation of Women experience these challenges, in Greece and abroad? What does the landscape of Women’s participation in Boards of Directors and at the helm of Enterprises look like in Greece today? What is the stance of the Greek State and what are the developments in the European Union and internationally?

The 10th Women in Business Forum, organized by ICAP CRIF, will explore the REAL CHALLENGES and present SUCCESS STORIES of Businesses, Government Policies, and Distinguished Executives within the framework of Inclusion and Diversity, focusing on the Woman Entrepreneur or Manager in contemporary Greek business.

The Forum, as an extended 4-hour interactive experience, aspires through Speeches, Presentations, and Panel Discussions to:

      • Creatively examine the Concerns and Challenges, Legislative Initiatives, and current Policies regarding Women’s inclusion in Senior and Executive Management.
      • Showcase disruptive (international) stories of young and more experienced Women Executives and Professionals who have successfully dared to challenge the professional status quo and overcome the bottleneck of gender discrimination in the workplace.
      • Highlight corporate Case Studies of Female Leadership from major Companies in Greece and abroad.
      • Provide rich and engaging Research insights, based on recent Studies and Surveys about current and future conditions in businesses, organizations, and societies.
      • Spark public dialogue with Executives and Personalities from a wide range of controversial Professions, Specialties, and Sectors of Activity.

Participants— Corporate Executives, Freelancers, and Private Individuals—will have the opportunity to engage with Senior Executives and Industry Professionals, learn about the Initiatives and Programs underway in our country, and of course, take part in the highly successful Networking Session.

The acknowledgment and support of the female capital have been a perennial issue in the Greek business and political scene, affected of course by the challenges and changes in the global institutional framework. ICAP CRIF has been consistently participating, since 2011, in the relevant public dialogue of Companies, Institutions and the State, mainly through its two focused annual initiatives, Women in Business:

Through these initiatives, ICAP CRIF, as a Socially Responsible Employer,:

      • Systematically highlights the Best Practices of female leadership.
      • Showcases the respective Success Stories of Female Senior Executives.
      • Informs and trains Women-Executives so that they can advance in the professional hierarchy and/or take business initiative and action.

Resilience and Adaptability in Crisis Management
How can we manage uncertainty, anxiety, and obstacles that we encounter on our journey without losing our ability to make decisions, bounce back, adapt to changes, solve problems, and become agents of positive change? In this seminar, using tools such as self-awareness, effective communication, and self-leadership, participants will cultivate resilience and adaptability. They will also learn to build supportive communities so they can effectively manage any unexpected personal or broader crisis that disrupts their work routine or any preconceived plan.

Through small theory modules, plenary whole-group discussion, and activities in smaller groups, we will explore:
      – The concepts of resilience and adaptability
      – The five stages of grief
      – Discovering our personal vision
      – The importance of “support circles”
      – The three levels of adaptation

The training is supported by the organization ‘Women on Top’ and it’s conducted by Stella Kasdagli

It is addressed to employees, self-employed people, and people who are looking for a job, regardless of their age, experience, or hierarchical level.

A Certificate of Attendance is provided.
