Pursuant to its institutional role as a Credit Rating Agency, supervised by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), ICAP CRIF RATINGS assigns Credit Ratings issued through an established and well-defined ranking  system of  rating categories, which may be used for regulatory purposes, i.e., for specific purposes of compliance with EU law or with EU law as applied by the national legislation of the Member States.

In this context, ICAP CRIF RATINGS announces the revision of its methodology titled “Project Finance Methodology”, which will replace the current “Methodology for Assigning Credit Ratings to Companies Operating in Special Activities”.

Pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 1060/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council on Credit Rating Agencies, as amended and currently in force, which governs the operation of ICAP CRIF RATINGS, the revised methodology is hereby submitted for a one (1) month public consultation.

In this context, ICAP CRIF RATINGS invites all interested parties to submit their views and comments.
