Ioannis Kagioulis
Head of Risk Culture and Risk PMO Sector, National Bank of Greece Group, NBG Group
Ioannis Kagioulis was appointed as Head of NBG’s Group Risk Culture and Risk Project Management Office in December 2021.
Under his current capacity, Ioannis supports, in terms of co-ordination and project management, the Risk Management Units of NBG in the incorporation of ESG Risks in the overall Risk Management Framework, mainly focusing on the areas of Credit Risk and Sustainable Financing. He is also a member of the Interbank Steering Committee for the development of the common interbank ESG questionnaire (ESGr Platform).
He joined NBG in 2006 as a Senior Credit Officer for the Corporate Credit Division. Since 2014, he served as Director of NBG Group International Credit Division. He has been a member of Supervisory Boards and Senior Credit Committees of NBG Group International Subsidiaries and NBG Group International Corporate Credit Committee.
Before joining NBG, during the period from 1996 to 2006, he worked in the Corporate Banking Division of Citibank.
He holds a Bachelor in Banking and Financial Management from the University of Piraeus and an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management.
