Vivi Kolliopoulou
President, WISTA Hellas
Vivi holds a BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Athens, an MSc in International Shipping from the University of Plymouth and an LLM in Maritime Law from the City, University of London.
She has worked in the field of marine insurance both from the services providers’ side and the shipmanagement/ owners’ perspective. She joined a marine insurance broker as a graduate and continued as an average adjuster with Richards Hogg Lindley. She then moved to the Standard P&I Club, working in the London, New York as well as Piraeus office, handling claims for a varied membership. Following her return to Greece, she joined Thenamaris as an Insurance & Claims manager.
In November 2019, she joined the Angelicoussis Group as Insurance Manager. Vivi handles all the marine and non-marine insurances of the group and performs regular market research for new products. She has worked into designing, developing and applying processes for the Insurance Department and into designing and implementing automations and new systems. She has also developed and continuously monitors the Sanctions Compliance policy for the group. Part of her role is also to attract and develop existing and young talent for the team.
She has been an active member of WISTA Hellas since 2001 and as from March 2024 she is the President of WISTA Hellas. Vivi has attended numerous WISTA conferences and has supported WISTA initiatives throughout her career.
