For the first time, ICAP CRIF is organizing the ESG Summit 2025, an event that aspires to become a landmark for Greek businesses. With the title “Building Sustainable Ecosystems”, the conference aims to highlight the necessity of implementing sustainable actions that drive long-term growth while promoting environmental protection, social justice, and corporate governance.
The ESG Summit 2025 is more than just a conference—it’s an experience offering strategic directions and valuable insights to Greek businesses. Covering the entire spectrum of ESG, from the new requirements of the European regulatory framework to the integration of sustainable development practices, it will showcase methods to help companies navigate the challenges of this new reality.
The conference will take place on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Domus, Asteria in Glyfada.

 

What Will Be Discussed at ESG Summit 2025
The conference will explore all dimensions of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance), focusing on the following critical topics:

 

1. European Regulatory Framework for ESG Reporting & Compliance with CSRD Requirements
This session will feature presentations by a representative of EFRAG, covering the European Regulatory Framework for ESG Reporting and Compliance, along with the latest developments regarding the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).
Additionally, a representative from the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) will provide a keynote address on CSRD, focusing on the integration of ESG data practices that companies need to adopt to comply with the new European legislation.

 

2. Social Justice & Corporate Governance (Social & Governance)
The session on Social & Governance will highlight the social aspects of sustainability, delving into issues such as gender pay inequality, corporate initiatives to support employees, and the importance of certifications in enhancing corporate credibility and transparency.

 

3. Understanding Institutional Investors’ Expectations for Sustainable Development
This segment will emphasize the pivotal role of institutional investors in shaping the ESG landscape and promoting sustainable business practices. It will explore how institutional investors evaluate companies based on ESG criteria, focusing on transparency, risk management, and the creation of long-term value. This session is particularly significant for companies aiming to align their strategies with market demands and earn the trust of institutional investors, strengthening their competitiveness and resilience in an evolving economic environment.

 

4. Presentation of ESG Research Results
ICAP CRIF will present the findings of its exclusive research on the progress of Greek businesses in ESG initiatives. This session will highlight emerging opportunities and challenges in the new era of sustainable development.

 

5. Businesses & ESG Strategies

Experts from the banking sector will focus on the significance of ESG Ratings in financing decisions, the integration of ESG into banking practices, and the impact of new compliance requirements on operational models. Additionally, representatives will explain how financing and ESG Ratings influence decisions toward sustainable growth.

 

 

8. SMEs & Sustainable Transition
Special attention will be given to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the backbone of the Greek economy. This panel will showcase practical ESG practices that SMEs can adopt, the support framework offered by institutions, and the importance of education in achieving a sustainable transition.

 

9. Sustainable Mobility in Greece
